SMART FARMING

Abstract: Smart farming is a modern approach that uses digital technology to support traditional agriculture. Indian farmers today face many challenges, including climate change, water scarcity, rising input costs, labour shortages, and unstable market prices. In my opinion, smart farming helps farmers handle these problems by providing timely information and practical guidance. Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensors, and digital platforms help farmers make better decisions about crops, water, and markets. This article explains the importance of smart farming in the current agricultural scenario and discusses how technology can improve productivity, farmers’ income, and environmental sustainability, especially for small and marginal farmers.
